Privacy Policy

Currency Converter, by Lakeside Digital · Last updated 2026-10-10

The short version. Everything you enter into Currency Converter is stored on your phone and is never sent to us. There is no account and no login. The app contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDK. Data leaves your device in two cases only: when the app downloads exchange rates, and when you buy or restore a purchase, which is handled by Google Play and our payments provider, RevenueCat.

Who we are

Currency Converter is published by Lakeside Digital. If you have a question about anything on this page, write to scanlystudio.support@proton.me and a person will answer.

Your data, stored on your device only

The app keeps the following on your device, in the app’s own storage:

None of this is sent to us. We have no server, so nothing is collected by us and nothing passes through a server of ours.

Data handled by third-party services

Exchange-rate sources

To keep rates current, the app downloads public rate tables from Frankfurter (European Central Bank reference rates) and from ExchangeRate-API. These requests carry no information about you or what you convert; like any web request, they reveal your IP address to the provider, which handles it under its own policy.

RevenueCat (subscriptions and one-time purchases)

When you buy the weekly subscription or the lifetime option, or tap “Restore”, the purchase is processed by Google through Google Play. We use RevenueCat to check whether a purchase is valid and still active. For that, RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier generated for your installation, the Google Play transaction details for what you bought, and basic device and country information supplied by the store. It does not receive your name, your email address, or anything listed above. RevenueCat acts as our processor. Their privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.

What the app does not do

Children

Currency Converter is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Data retention

Because your data never leaves your phone, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Uninstalling the app removes it. Purchase records held by RevenueCat and by Google are retained under their own policies and for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal information held about you, and to object to certain processing. In practice we hold almost nothing: the purchase record is keyed to an anonymous identifier. If you want to exercise a right, or want that purchase record deleted, write to scanlystudio.support@proton.me and we will act on it. To manage or cancel a subscription, open Google Play → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be flagged in the app.
